Gene Richard Lee

Gene Richard Lee, 69, of Hilltop Lakes passed away surrounded by loved ones Thursday, November 22, at his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, at 2:00 pm at Cozart Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Hopewell Cemetery for family. Joe Ross will preside over services.

Gene Richard Lee was born December 4, 1942 in Dyess, Arkansas to his parents Roy and Bertha (Bolton) Lee. He married the love of his life Anna Lou Grimes in 1965. They moved to DeerPark, TX and raised three loving daughters. Gene was a Master Craftsman and built many homes. He was also a wonderful mechanic he could fix anything. His strongest love was for his family and NASCAR. Gene got great enjoyment out of seeing and racing cars for a career or just a hobby. He also enjoyed going fishing and just riding on his tractor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Grimes Lee; three daughters, Tamra Lee, Tarina Lee, and Teena and Matt Weeks; grandchildren, Natasha Rich, Nathan Rich, Megan Mills, Prestley Boone, Chelsea Boone, Khloe Osborne, Korbin Osborne, and Kolbee Lee; and was fortunate to have a great aunt Mary Hayes; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
