Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Lynn Glover, who will be remembered by those who knew her.

Joe Lynn was born in 1966 and is survived by her son, Tyler Jones, his wife, Kaitlin Jones, and her beloved grandchildren, McKinley and Hayden Jones; her father Billy Joe Glover; her brother, Jason Glover, and his wife, Brianne Glover; along with extended family and friends.

Joe Lynn lived her life in her own way and leaves behind memories that will remain with her family. She took pride in her grandchildren and shared moments of connection that will be remembered and cherished. The grandchildren especially appreciated the thoughtful presents she faithfully sent each month, a gesture that never went unnoticed and will always be remembered with gratitude.

She had a deep love for plants and found meaning in watching things grow. She planted more than just seeds — she left pieces of herself behind in the places she touched. Because of that, she will be everywhere: in blooming flowers, growing gardens, and in the quiet moments where something green begins to thrive. For many, seeing a plant flourish will be a gentle reminder of Joe Lynn and the life she helped nurture.

Among the many memories Tyler carries are the lighthearted moments they shared together — like the time they went fishing and he caught what looked like a 10-pound catfish. Joe Lynn, being her hard-headed self, thought she could lift it up just like a bass — despite Tyler’s warnings. The line broke, the fish got away, and everyone had a good laugh. Her stubbornness and sense of adventure made moments like that unforgettable.

She is now reunited with her mother, Lynda Glover, and her beloved dog, Tilly, who brought her comfort and companionship. It is a peaceful thought for those who loved her to imagine her once again surrounded by familiarity, warmth, and love.

As time goes on, the song “I Can’t Drive 55” by Sammy Hagar will always bring her to mind. It fit her perfectly — because she never really believed in just driving 55, usually going just a bit over. That song will forever be a reminder of her spirited personality, her sense of humor, and the way she always did things her own way.
