John C. Vice, age 92, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1933, and lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and love for his family. John married the love of his life, Irma Estelle Williams, on August 13, 1956. They shared nearly 58 years of marriage before her passing on April 1, 2014. Together, John and Irma built a life rooted in faith, and adventure. For more than 20 years, John and Irma traveled extensively while working offshore, experiencing many parts of the world. Their journeys took them to countless places including Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Holland. These travels were a source of pride and treasured memories throughout their lives. John also served his community faithfully as the Constable for North Zulch for 12 years, earning the respect and appreciation of those he served. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and willingness to help others.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irma Vice; his sons, Douglas Vice and David Stephens; his daughter, Debra McGinty; and two sons-in-law. He is survived by his loving daughter Linda Vice Collins, sister Margaret Segura; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. John's legacy lives on through the many generations of family who were blessed by his guidance, strength, and love. He is also survived by his best buddy, Max, with whom he could share his animal crackers with.
John will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his spirit of adventure, his service to his community, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
