Linda Kay Sanders

Our beloved Linda K. Sanders, a proud Texan through and through, passed away peacefully on May 7th surrounded by family. She shared 59 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Billy Sanders, a partnership rooted in love, faith, and unwavering support. Together, they raised three sons who were the pride of her life. She was their biggest fan—literally and figuratively—cheering them on from ballfields and golf courses across the country with fierce devotion.

A passionate volunteer, Linda poured her heart into her community, spending countless years on the sidelines or concession stands not only for her own children, but for so many others, making sure every game had spirit, snacks, and support. Her love of cooking and baking filled bellies and hearts—her kitchen was always warm with the smell of something delicious and the sounds and pitter-patter of grandchildren she adored chasing around.

She was happiest when surrounded by family, whether it was decking the halls for the holidays, planning a road trip adventure, or simply sitting down to a home-cooked meal. Her door—and her heart—were always open. She loved fiercely, lived fully, and left an indelible mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.

A true Aggie fan, Linda bled maroon and white and could always be found in front of the TV (or in the stands when she could) rooting on her beloved Texas A&M football team.

She is survived by her loving husband, Billy, her three children and their spouses, Jason & Sarah, Wesley & Theresa, and Allen & Jamie; her sister and spouse, Marilyn & Dale Clement; her twelve cherished grandchildren, Mary, Anna, John, Catherine, Elizabeth, Korbin, Kinsley, Hannah, J Paul, Jaxson, Luke, and Camden; and two beloved nieces and their spouses, Michelle & Mike Tewold and Stephanie & Eric Ray.

While we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life lived with passion, purpose, and unconditional love.

Gig 'em, Linda! We’ll carry your spirit with us—always.
