Minnie Lucille Neel, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, left her earthly home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven on September 18, 2026 at the age of 89. She was born January 1, 1937, in Blossom, Texas, to Robert David Webb and Dora Layne Webb.

Minnie moved to Dallas as a child and graduated from Adamson high School. It was in Dallas that she met the love of her life, Billy Ray Neel, at the grocery store where her mother worked. Bill and Minnie were married just a few months later, after Bill promised her father that Minnie would finish high school.

Their 72-year marriage was blessed with three children. Their daughter Debbie was born two years after their marriage, followed by Kathy two years later. Eight years after Kathy’s birth they welcomed their son David.

While living in Irving, Texas, Minnie and bill were active members of First Baptist Church. They were devoted members of the Young Married Sunday School class and enjoyed many wonderful years of fellowship and playing bridge with dear friends.

Minnie attended North Lake College in Irving, Texas, where she earned her real estate broker’s license. She eventually joined Century 21 sales force and was recognized for four years as a member of the Million Dollar Club. Yet, despite her professional success, minnie often said that her favorite feeling was helping a young couple purchase their first home. She found great joy in making a difference in the lives of others, notably mentoring several agents including her grandson Chase Neel, who will carry forward her values that defined Neel & Associates Realty.

After raising their three children and seeing them graduate college, Minnie and bill moved to beautiful Hilltop Lakes, Texas approximately 30 years ago. There, Minnie became and active member of the Hilltop Lakes Chapel and was involved in several community organizations, including the Lions Club, her sorority, women’s bridge and duplicate bridge.

Minnie continued perusing her passion for real estate, eventually opening her own brokerage, Neel & Associates Realty. She remained dedicated to her work and continued working until recently.

Minnie rarely met a stranger. She had a warm heart, a welcoming smile, and a remarkable ability to make people feel loved and valued. She loved with her whole heart and touched countless lives throughout her years.

Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee, TX. Interment will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas, TX.
