Rita Hightower Basdekas

Rita Hightower Basdekas passed away on April 27, 2021.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years Demetrios Basdekas, her children Lexy Kessler (Iver), Leon Basdekas (Peggy) and grandchildren, Eleni and Tyler Kessler and Neil and Katie Basdekas.  Daughter of the late Sherman and Opal Hightower, sister to Elizabeth Thompson (Hugh) and Bill Hightower (Virginia)

Private funeral services will be Friday, April 30^th at St. Silouan Orthodox Church followed by internment at Sand Prairie Cemtery in Normangee.  Funeral arrangements are in the care of Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.

The family requests in lieu of flowers to make a donation in Rita’s memory to March of Dimes or Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
