Ronald Wayne Greer (Ron) passed away on March 31, 2026, at St Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Texas of natural causes.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee on April 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Visitation and refreshments will be served at the Normangee Service Center at 311 W. OSR following the service. Brother Glenn Connor will be the officiant. A private interment will be held at a later time at the Greer Cemetery.
Ron was born in Bryan, Texas at St Joseph Hospital on December 19, 1952. He was 73 years old. He was living in Normangee with his son, John and girlfriend Stephanie Morris. He attended Normangee High School, joined the Air Force, became an electrician, held an Ocean Operator (Captain) license, held a license to operate passenger vessels, and was a licensed Ocean Water scuba diver instructor. He retired due to health issues in 2018.
He loved his son, loved to fish, swim, and scuba dive, but most of all he loved being with his family. His family would like to thank Stephanie for all of her love and care she gave Ron over the past several years. She was a blessing to him and to us.
When Ron was going through hard times with his illness and asked how he was doing he would say “there ain’t nothing wrong with me” and then give a slight smile. He was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He was proceeded in death by his father Zane Rex Greer, mother Faye Ola Warner Greer, and brother Michael Rex Greer. He is survived by his son, John Greer (Stephanie Morris), sister Jo Lynn Greer Roberson, sister Carolyn Morris (B.T.), and sister in law Becky Greer, nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, and great great nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
